Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Thoracic Surgical Unit (W5N). This role supports nursing staff, performing vital signs collection, weight measurements, and intake/output tracking across multiple shifts on-site at UAB Hospital.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and CPR within 30 days of hire, with in-house PCT training provided. A strong focus on patient safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification within thirty (30) days of employment required.
• Complete in-house PCT training program.

Responsibilities

• To obtain and record vitals, weight, inputs and outputs.
• To assist RN/LPN with patient care tasks as directed.
