Job summary

St. Davids Austin Area Ambulatory Surgery Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PACU Nurse to provide post‑operative care until discharge. You will monitor vitals, manage IVs, and support safe recovery in a family‑like environment.

Qualified candidates hold an RN license with an Associate Degree or higher, BCLS certification, and ACLS within 30 days; PALS may be required. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher required.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS Certification upon employment; ACLS within 30 days; PALS if required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient care area with equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate airway management techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and other parameters per policy.
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform head-to-toe evaluation using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and families.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
