Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Lincoln Surgery Center in Parker, Colorado seeks a PreOp PACU Nurse to provide safe postoperative care in an ambulatory surgery setting. You will ensure effective nursing care until discharge and support the center’s mission to care like family.

Responsibilities include airway management, monitoring, IV access care, and post-op assessments. The role requires 1+ year nursing experience and active RN license, with on-time ACLS and PALS as required by the facility.

Qualifications

• RN license required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification required upon employment; online not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS if required by facility within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare care area with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate airway management techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and other parameters per policy.
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV lines and saline locks.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and family.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
