HCA Healthcare's Muscular-Skeletal Ambulatory Surgery Center in Thornton, CO is seeking a PRN PreOp PACU Nurse to provide postoperative care, monitor vital signs, manage airway, and support safe discharge.

The successful candidate will hold an RN license, an Associate Degree in Nursing or higher, 1+ year clinical experience in Preop/PACU or related areas, BCLS certification, and ACLS within 30 days of hire. The center offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher required.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably Preop, PACU, Pain, GI, ER, ICU or Surgery.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
• PALS if required by facility within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Prepare your patients’ care area and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are provided.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).
• Insert, maintain, and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform and document head-to-toe evaluations using an approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to the surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and family.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
