Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Parkwest Surgery Center in Tennessee. The role involves coordinating Pre-Op and PACU nursing care, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with the anesthesia team to support smooth perioperative flow.

Required is an accredited nursing degree, TN RN licensure, and certification in BCLS, ACLS, and PALS within six months. PACU or critical care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Tennessee state license.
• Current BCLS, ACLS and PALS certified within six months of hire.
• Preferably one year experience in the post-anesthesia care unit or critical care.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care in Pre-Op and PACU under supervision.
• Lead and direct nursing and medical assistants; ensure continuity of care.
• Manage airway, vital signs, IV therapy and medication administration per orders.
• Document assessments and care; report abnormalities to surgeon/anesthesia.
• Maintain PACU diagnosis, charts, inventory, and readiness for next cases.
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and infection control standards.
