Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN seeks an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to provide immediate post-operative care with airway support, neuro and cardiac monitoring, and wound care. You will work with the surgical and anesthesia teams, and be available for on-call duties during select non-business hours.

The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, collaboration within a dynamic interdisciplinary team, and commitment to patient safety and recovery.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• RN with active license in Tennessee.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 1 year PACU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care following evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including providers and therapy staff.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor continuously, and document changes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment and follow-up.
