Job summary

Cool Springs Surgery Center in Franklin, TN is seeking an RN PACU to provide immediate postoperative nursing care and to supervise Patient Care Technicians, CNAs, MAs and LPNs as appropriate. The RN reports to the Clinical Director and works to ensure safe, individualized post-anesthesia care.

The candidate should have an active RN license, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year in PACU or ICU, with CPR; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license with active status in appropriate state.
• One year experience in PACU or ICU.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient status on PACU admission.
• Provide nursing care based on anesthesia type and surgery.
• Develop and implement an initial plan of care.
• Monitor patient status and inform surgeon/anesthesia of changes.
