Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, seeks a Nurse Manager for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, you will provide 24-hour clinical, operational, and financial leadership to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and a positive patient experience.

You will lead a team of RNs and support staff, manage budgets and staffing, drive quality improvement, and foster professional development while promoting collaboration

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in an acute care setting.
• 2+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
• BSN degree required; MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, accreditation, organizational, and professional standards.
• Develop, review, and evaluate unit policies, procedures, competencies, and clinical standards.
• Lead quality improvement and performance improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes.
• Build collaborative relationships with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, coach, and retain a high-performing workforce.
• Promote employee engagement and professional development.
• Lead change initiatives and support innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage unit budgets, staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resources.
• Oversee supply management, equipment planning, and vendor relations.
• Monitor metrics to drive improved unit performance.
• Lead process improvement and workflow redesign to enhance quality and patient experience.
