Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the PACU with clinical, operational, and financial responsibility. You will oversee patient care quality, safety, and staff development while guiding performance improvements.

You will manage budgets, staffing, and vendor relations, build interdisciplinary teams, and mentor nursing leaders, ensuring a patient-centered culture and continuous improvement across the unit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years RN experience in acute care.
• 2+ years progressive nursing leadership.
• Licensure as NY RN with active license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour clinical, operational, and financial leadership for PACU.
• Ensure adherence to standards and patient safety.
• Develop policies, competencies, and clinical standards.
• Lead quality improvement and performance initiatives.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
• Oversee budgets, staffing, and resource utilization.
• Foster collaboration across physicians and care teams.
