Surgery Center of Plano, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated PACU Nurse to deliver safe postoperative care at our ambulatory center. You will support patients from recovery through discharge with a focus on effective airway management, vital signs monitoring, and comfort for patients and families.

The role requires an RN license, 1+ year PACU/acute care experience, and compliance with BCLS/ACLS/PALS timelines as applicable to the facility.

Competenze

Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree is required.
1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery.
Active RN license as required by state of employment.
BCLS Certification upon employment. online certification not acceptable.
ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
PALS if required by facility within 30 days of hire.

Mansioni

Prepare your patients’ care area adequately and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are provided.
Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).
Insert, maintain and remove IV catheters and saline locks with proper technique.
Perform and document head-to-toe evaluation using approved scoring system per HCA policy.
Check dressings and/or operative site and report abnormalities to the surgeon.
Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and families.
Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
