Job summary

Surgery Center of Plano is seeking a PACU Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center who demonstrates the values of our company by caring like family. You will ensure safe and effective nursing care rendered postoperatively untilthepatient is dismissed from the facility.

With your expertise, our center continue its’ legacy of employing nurses who contribute to the company’s mission and vision. This role supports staffing, technology and resources to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Active RN license as required by state employment.
• BCLS certification upon employment; online cert not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire; PALS if required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient care area with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate airway management techniques as needed.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes per policy.
• Insert, maintain and remove IV catheters and saline locks.
• Perform head-to-toe evaluation using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings or operative site and report abnormalities.
• Provide a safe, comforting environment for patient and family.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
