Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Medical City Specialty Surgicenter of Dallas is seeking a PACU Nurse dedicated to safe, compassionate postoperative care and family-centered support. You will ensure effective nursing care after surgery until discharge, upholding the center’s mission and high standards.

The role requires an RN with 1+ year PACU/ICU experience, active RN license, BCLS, ACLS within 30 days, and PALS if needed. The center offers comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or higher is required.
• 1+ years of nursing experience in PACU, ICU, or Surgery preferred.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification required on employment (online not acceptable).
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire; PALS if required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare care area and ensure equipment and supplies are provided.
• Demonstrate proper airway management techniques.
• Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.).
• Perform and document head-to-toe evaluation using approved scoring system.
• Check dressings and report abnormalities to surgeon.
• Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and family.
• Ensure patients meet discharge criteria.
