Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking a PACU nurse to provide pre- and post-operative care in our 10-bed PACU, serving a range of surgical services. You will initiate IVs, administer medications, educate patients, and document care in line with ASPAN guidelines.

ACLS is required for external candidates; ICU/ED/step-down experience is considered. A CT RN license, BSN preferred, and BLS certification are required or preferred, with Hartford HealthCare offering strong career development.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• ICU experience preferred; ED/step-down and floor-level experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative care in PACU, including IV initiation and medication administration.
• Document care and follow ASPAN best-practice guidelines.
• Support a 2:1 nurse/patient ratio in a 10-bed PACU; participate in rotating shifts.
