Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit nurse to join our acute-care team. The PACU nurse will support pre- and post-operative patients, manage IVs, medications, and documentation, and work in a 10-bed PACU serving multiple surgical services.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• ICU experience preferred; ED/step-down considered.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-operative nursing care in a 10-bed PACU.
• Administer medications, start IVs, ensure documentation.
• Collaborate with surgical teams for safe patient recovery.
