Job summary

Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU Float Pool. This full-time day-shift role offers flexible hours (6AM-6PM, 7AM-7PM, 9AM-9PM or 10AM-10PM) to support patient care in a high-acuity setting.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, plan care, advocate for patients and families, document activities, and mentor teammates. Required: BSN, Virginia RN licensure or eligibility, 2+ years of critical care experience, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Virginia RN licensure or eligibility.
• 2+ years of critical care RN experience preferred.
• BLS, ACLS & NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient health assessments.
• Formulates individualized plans of care from assessments.
• Supports and empowers patients and families through care continuum.
• Advocates for patients' rights and provides counseling to resolve issues.
• Coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams to meet outcomes.
• Documents all patient care activities and maintains records.
• Acts as a mentor to healthcare team members.
