Job summary

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool for part-time days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and advocate for patients while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires at least 1 year of RN experience, BLS, and VA licensure eligibility; ADN/BSN with a plan to complete BSN within 5 years. Inova offers strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

1 year of RN experience; critical care if applicable
BLS certification; ACLS/PALS as required or within onboarding
Licensed RN in Virginia or eligible for licensure
Education: BSN or ADN with plan to complete BSN within 5 years

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans
Support patient/family through care continuum
Advocate for patient rights and provide counseling
Mentor team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Document care activities and contribute to performance improvements
Maintain continuing education records and self-development
