Job summary

Mercy Health in West Hospital seeks a Lead RN/Charge Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The role coordinates nursing care, guides staff, and collaborates with the Clinical Manager to sustain high-quality patient outcomes and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice or compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred upon hire; must obtain before patient care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care on the designated unit.
• Collaborate with Clinical Manager to promote excellence in clinical practice and patient satisfaction.
• Provide guidance to staff, supervise unit operations in the absence of the unit leader.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and effective communication with patients and families.
• Mentor staff and participate in interprofessional collaboration to ensure care continuity.
