Job summary

Mercy Health’s The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The role focuses on delivering exceptional perioperative nursing care, assessing patient status, prioritizing needs, and implementing critical interventions in a fast-paced OR setting.

You will collaborate with the care team to ensure safe patient care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support, ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire).
• CNOR Certified Perioperative Nurse (preferred).
• SGNA Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment.
• Observes the surgery and surgical team and maintains a safe environment.
• Manage nursing care in the OR and coordinate with care providers.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care and discharge instructions.
