Job summary

Tenet Memphis is seeking a PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Charge Nurse (RN) in Memphis, Tennessee. The role leads daily unit operations, mentors staff, and supports nursing teams in the PACU environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, assisting with recruiting and training, and preparing reports for nurse managers, while ensuring quality and compliance. Requires RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• RN with current licensure in the respective state.
• BLS certification required on hire.
• ACLS required within 3 months for listed units.
• CP I (CPI) required within 3 months for specified roles.
• PALS required within 3 months for Emergency Dept staff.
• NRP required within 3 months for L&D/NICU staff.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of the department to meet quality goals.
• Promotes efficient nursing care and operates under guidance of Nurse Manager.
• Assists with recruitment and training of new hires.
• Prepares assigned reports for nurse managers.
• Directs daily patient care operations in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
• Maintains clear communications with Nurse Manager and House Supervisors.
