Qualifications

• Associates Of Science in Nursing (required).
• Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or Charge Nurse Experience.
• Registered Nurse (RN:AZ).
• American Heart Association - Basic Life Support (AHA BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Bachelor’s Of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• CVICU experience for Critical Care Charge Nurse (preferred).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred).
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Mentors others in competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and inservice education.
• Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet patient and department needs.
• Evaluates care, coaches to improve, and ensures standard of care; prepares work schedules and assigns personnel.
• Coordinates patient flow on the unit to facilitate timely and effective care.
• Demonstrates prioritization and critical thinking in critical situations.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, and learning needs.
