Job summary

Canyon Vista Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an RN Charge Nurse for the PACU. You will supervise perioperative staff, determine staffing, and provide direct patient care within a dynamic, patient-centered surgical team.

The role supports Monday–Friday schedules with some on-call coverage, offering meaningful growth and a comprehensive benefits package. Arizona RN license and BLS are required; ACLS/PALS and Handle with Care are preferred.

Qualifications

• Arizona or Compact RN license is required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Active BLS certification; ACLS, PALS and Handle with Care preferred.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor nursing and support staff during shift.
• Determine staffing levels and assignments based on acuity and census.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and float to assist with issues.
• Handle admissions and discharges, coordinate transfers.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and address patient care concerns.
• Ensure staff have equipment and supplies for safe care.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices into operations.
