Job summary

UW Health at University Hospital in Madison, WI seeks a Care Team Leader for the PACU (Finance) to provide clinical leadership, serve as a resource for team members and collaborate with the unit manager to meet patient and family needs. The role requires nursing expertise, on-call coverage, and involvement in staffing decisions while supporting safety and quality of care.

90% FTE with 12-hour shifts, start times between 7:00am-8:00am, and variable hours based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing Preferred
• 2 years relevant nursing experience Required
• 3 years age-appropriate surgical services experience Preferred
• 2 years prior leadership experience Preferred
• Registered Nurse Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ability to obtain within 180 Days Required
• National certification in relevant specialty Preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as a role model and clinical resource for other team members.
• Work closely with the unit manager and other team members to establish goals to meet the needs of the patient, family and other care providers.
• Contribute to and support the effective management of the unit.
