Job summary

The Grand Forks VA is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Primary Care team within the VHA Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT). You will perform nursing activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse, using clinical judgment to support patient-centered care.

Applicants must be a graduate of an approved LPN program and hold an active, unrestricted LPN license. English proficiency is required for direct patient care and interaction with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved practical nursing program (or NLNAC-accredited) at time of program completion.
• Active, full, current LPN licensure in a state/territory.
• English language proficiency for clinical care.

Responsibilities

• Provide the full range of practical nursing care to patients under RN/MD supervision.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, medications, and prescribed treatments.
• Assist in nursing procedures, document patient responses, and report changes promptly to the RN/MD.
