The Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (PACT) to provide patient-centered care in a clinic setting. The role emphasizes triage, routine and urgent care, patient education, and coordination with RNs and physicians.

Experience with LPN scope, ability to follow policies, maintain licensure, and ensure HIPAA confidentiality is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Full-active licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in the U.S. or DC
• United States citizenship as required by VA policies

Responsabilités

• Triage, record vital signs, and monitor patient status
• Coordinate nursing care in the clinic setting for diverse patient populations
• Provide education to patients and families about procedures and tests
• Maintain licensure and comply with HIPAA and patient privacy standards
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and patient care as directed by RN/MD/DO
• Observe and respond to urgent or emergent patient care needs
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications per policy
