Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in New Mexico seeks an Outpatient Staff Registered Nurse to join the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) in Ambulatory Care. The RN will deliver gender-specific veteran care, coordinate care across panels, and provide health coaching within primary care.

Requires RN licensure, English proficiency, and accredited nursing education with pathway options for BSN. Eligible candidates will work within the VA system with a Monday–Friday schedule and non-virtual duties.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing in the United States.
• English language proficiency for direct patient care per VA policy.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN/CCNE).
• May include bridge programs for BSN with licensure pathway.
• Foreign nursing education must be evaluated for equivalence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as part of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT).
• Coordinate care and referrals within primary care department.
• Promote health education and wellness coaching.
• Participate in policy development, evaluation and implementation.
• Support colleagues and contribute to safe, high-quality nursing practice.
