Job summary

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center is recruiting a full-time physician to serve as the PACT Medical Director with the Primary Care Service. The role combines 80% clinical duties with 20% administrative responsibilities across multiple locations within the medical center.

Ideal candidates are physicians with MD or equivalent, an unrestricted US license, and board certification/eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine. VA total rewards include a competitive salary and federal benefits.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required; VA policy for non-citizens.
• MD degree from an approved school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
• Residency in core specialty with board eligibility/certification.
• Board certification/eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine preferred.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director for PACT with 80% clinical time and 20% administrative time.
• Provide oversight of patient care quality, safety, and appropriateness in Primary Care.
• Participate in CME activities and VA continuing education.
• Represent Primary Care in communications and conferences with clinical, ancillary and administrative services.
• Complete medical records in accordance with bylaws and rules.
