Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration is seeking a Primary Care Physician to lead a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) delivering direct care to Veterans at the Cincinnati VAMC and affiliated clinics. You will diagnose, treat, and coordinate care across the team with an emphasis on quality and accessibility.

Applicants should have an MD/DO with a current license, completed residency in an approved field, and be eligible for board certification.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship per VA policy and licensure requirements.
  • MD or DO degree from an approved school.
  • Current full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or DC.
  • Residency in an approved core specialty with board eligibility.
  • Board eligibility or certification preferred for faculty status.
  • Prior VA experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical examination, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.
  • Coordinate care for a panel of primary care patients within the PACT team.
  • Document patient care in medical records and refer to specialists when needed.
  • Monitor PACT teamlet performance and ensure VA standards and quality measures.
  • Lead patient advocate interactions and respond to inquiries.
  • Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Education

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent
Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine
Residency training in core specialty (ACGME/AOA)
Board Eligibility or Board Certification preferred
