Job summary

Fort Defiance Indian Hospital Board, Inc. is seeking a PACS/Radiology Information System specialist to monitor imaging networks, ensure accurate patient data transfer, and maintain system uptime. You will coordinate with radiologists, technologists, IT and HIM to keep the PACS environment stable and compliant.

The role requires experience with HIT/RIS/PACS, an associate degree, and relevant certifications. Navajo Nation preference applies; this position emphasizes collaborative problem solving

Qualifications

Two years of direct work experience in HIT and/or Radiology PACS systems.
Knowledge of PACS workflows, imaging data labeling and transfer.
Ability to troubleshoot PACS and coordinate with radiology staff.

Responsibilities

Monitor clinical areas with Radiology imaging access to ensure continuity of patient care.
Ensure cross-system image transfer with correct patient data and labeling.
Check PACS daily for accuracy and resolve errors; liaise with IT and radiology staff.
Provide end-user training and support for PACS functionalities.
Coordinate with radiologists, technologists and HIM for seamless PACS operation.
Respond to on-call requests and maintain 24/7 system maintenance.
