Job summary

Kern Medical seeks a PACS Administrator Assistant in Radiology for a per diem, shift-based clerical role supporting imaging workflows and PACS operations.

You will monitor the PACS system, export/import images, manage radiology records, and assist radiologists with calls, paging, and reports. A high school diploma and at least three years of clerical experience are required.

On-site in Bakersfield, CA with four shifts in a six-week period; background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and three years of clerical/office experience related to radiology or medical imaging.
• Proficiency with imaging-related software and data entry.
• Familiarity with PACS workflows, imaging records, and basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage PACS workflow and QA worklists.
• Export/import digital images and CDs/DVDs for patients and facilities.
• Manage radiology records (digital, paper, film) and assist with reports.
• Assist radiologists with calls, paging, and document preparation.
• Provide computer systems training for PACS, PowerScribe, and EMR.
