Norsk Hydro in St. Augustine, FL is seeking a Packing Manager to lead all packing operations and act as a key member of the Plant Management Team. You will drive safe, efficient, and high‑quality packing processes while guiding packing teams to meet production targets.

The role requires strong planning, scheduling, cost control, and health & safety discipline, with a track record of supervising teams and improving processes within manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/packing environment.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and production control skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives and maintain Health & Safety standards.
• Experience in process improvement and cost control within a plant setting.
• English fluency; additional languages are a plus.

Job Summary:

The Packing Manager is responsible for leading all packing operations. As a key member of the Plant Management Team, this role ensures efficient, safe, and high-quality packing processes and leading packing teams while aligning with organizational goals.

• Develops and implements work methods, authorizes overtime and controls costs.
• Ensure Health and Safety objectives are met.
• Ensure departmental staffing requirements are met, including employee selection, training and development and goal setting.

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of Supervisory experience in related industry.
• Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work in and through teams, with all levels of the workplace.
• Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution are required.
• Fluency in English, any other languages a plus.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Manufacturing experience; exposure to aluminum extrusion industry a plus.
• Keen listening/communication abilities to lead improvement processes within various area
  and levels of organization.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate on all levels.
