Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp. in Missouri seeks a Production Supervisor to lead the Packing Department, training staff and enforcing yield, safety, and quality standards.

You will implement shift goals under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, manage daily paperwork, and drive continuous improvements to production efficiency and food safety. Candidates must be reliable and physically able to lift and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Emphasize policy, procedures, and culture consistent with the Shift Supervisor’s direction that control and improve production yield and efficiency, safety, leadership, and cleanliness
• Continuously takes independent action, perform daily paperwork, and provide corrective action recommendations to the Production Manager in safety, quality, cleanliness, yield & efficiency
• Maintains area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
• Enforces company rules in a fair and consistent manner
• Reports broken or inoperable equipment to the Shift Supervisor
• Initiates start of lines on time and effects changeovers in a timely fashion
• Schedules labor for full time and agency employees
• Works with temporary labor provider to fill daily shortages
• Maintains strong interdepartmental communication to facilitate goals
• Verifies adherence to production specifications, efficiency, yield, and documentation
• Ensures breaks and lunches are timely and in accordance with shift
