J&J Snack Foods Corp. is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead the packing department, ensuring yield, efficiency, safety, and quality in daily operations. You will train peers, enforce SOPs, and coordinate with the Production Manager to drive continuous improvement and food safety.

Responsibilities include scheduling labor, overseeing changeovers, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring adherence to company policies while fostering teamwork and employee welfare.

• Math and reading skills are required.
• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsabilités

• Emphasize policy, procedures, and culture consistent with the Shift Supervisor’s direction that control and improve: production yield and efficiency, safety, leadership, cleanliness, food safety and quality, adherence to SOPs, employee ownership and teambuilding, and employee welfare.
• Continuously takes independent action, performs daily paperwork, and provides corrective action recommendations to the Production Manager in safety, quality, cleanliness, yield and efficiency.
• Maintains their area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner; enforces company rules in a fair and consistent manner; reports broken or inoperable equipment to the Shift Supervisor; takes corrective action if warranted.
• Initiates the start of the lines on time and effects changeovers in a timely fashion; schedules labor for full time and agency employees; works with temporary labor to fill daily shortages.
• Reports time and attendance infractions to the Shift Supervisor; maintains strong interdepartmental communication; reports changes to production standards/specifications to reflect actual process.
• Develops subordinates’ ability to understand, manage, and affect the department through training in OSHA programs, Food Defense, GMPs, HACCP, CCP Procedures, Quality, Cleanliness, and data recording.
