Job Description

Operate high-speed stamping presses and auxiliary equipment to produce metal connector plates and steel components, utilizing manual and automated packaging processes. Maintain quality standards and ensure accurate production reporting.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Operate high-speed stamping presses and auxiliary equipment with manual and automated packaging processes.
2. Achieve or surpass daily production goals.
3. Report machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors promptly.
4. Assist mechanics to keep press and packaging equipment operational.
5. Manually pack metal connector plates and steel components into packaging containers.
6. Minimize product waste; inspect finished products and mark shipping containers with steel lot numbers.
7. Maintain attendance during scheduled shifts, including overtime as required, arriving on time and ready to work.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED; 1-3 months related experience/training or equivalent.
• Language Skills: Effective communication with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
• Computer Skills: Basic PC skills helpful but not mandatory.
• Other Skills: Ability to read a tape measure.
• Additional Qualifications: Previous forklift experience is preferred but not required.
