Job Description

Operate high-speed stamping presses and auxiliary equipment to produce metal connector plates and steel components, utilizing manual and automated packaging processes. Maintain quality awareness and ensure accurate production reporting.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Operate high-speed stamping presses and auxiliary equipment, including manual and automated packaging processes.
2. Achieve or surpass daily production goals.
3. Report all machine malfunctions to mechanics or supervisors promptly.
4. Assist mechanics as needed to keep press and packaging equipment operational.
5. Manually pack metal connector plates and steel components into containers.
6. Minimize product waste; inspect finished products and mark steel lot numbers on shipping containers.
7. Attend work during scheduled shifts, including overtime if required, arriving on time and ready for work.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or equivalent.
2. Language Skills: Effective communication with co-workers and management regarding work and safety issues.
3. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measure.
4. Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions and understand safety procedures.
5. Computer Skills: Basic PC skills are helpful but not mandatory.
6. Other Skills: Ability to read a tape measure.
7. Other Qualifications: Forklift experience preferred but not required.
