Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking candidates for a position that includes reading work orders, inspecting products, and assisting in machinery operations. The ideal candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds, use measuring tools, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read work order for product specifications including packaging requirements.
• Inspect products for defects and customer requirements.
• Assist in machinery start-up and changeover.
• Perform required quality checks regularly.
• Adhere to packaging requirements outlined by Production Work Order.
• Enter production details in JDE and print necessary paperwork.
• Complete at least one Work Place Observation per month.
• Label cartons or gaylords neatly as per customer requests.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP'S).
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Keep paperwork organized and clear.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Read work order for product specifications and any special instructions concerning packaging, special skids, cartons, cradles, banding requirements, and samples
• Inspects products for customer requirements and any defects
• Assists in start-up and changeover of machinery or orders
• Performs all required quality checks on all orders on a regular basis
• Adheres to all packaging requirements per Production Work Order
• Capable of entering production in JDE and printing all necessary paperwork, to include closing out last skid of order.
• Completes at least one Work Place Observation per month.
• Place customer labels on end of cartons or gaylords in a straight and neat manner. Adhere to any and all identification sheets, tally sheets, bar codes as requested by the customer
• Follow AIB Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP'S) per written procedures and practices
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety by maintaining a clean and orderly work area
• Maintain paperwork in order and not inter-mixed with orders that are completed or about to run.

Qualifications

• Must know how to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Must have manual dexterity
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
