Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the following functions, in addition to other duties as assigned:

1. Evaluate raw materials for quality and edible properties.
2. Prepare specialty items such as links and ground meats per order.
3. Utilize wrapping and packaging equipment to prepare items for shipment.
4. Collaborate with facility mechanical staff to ensure storage areas function according to Weis Markets, USDA, and local regulations, maintaining proper internal temperatures.
5. Maintain a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards set by the company and mandated by state, federal, USDA, and OSHA regulations.
6. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal weights, measures, and labeling laws.
7. Utilize all Weis Markets provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to cut-resistant gloves, safety gloves, and company-sponsored footwear.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
