Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The associate is responsible for the following duties, along with other assigned tasks:

• Evaluate raw materials for quality and edibility.
• Prepare specialty items such as links and ground meats per order.
• Use wrapping and packaging equipment to prepare items for shipment.
• Coordinate with facility mechanical staff to ensure storage areas operate according to Weis Markets, USDA, and local regulations, maintaining proper internal temperatures.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards set by the company, federal, state, USDA, and OSHA regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal weights, measures, and labeling laws.
• Utilize all Weis Markets-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including cut-resistant gloves, safety gloves, and company-sponsored footwear.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

Completion of or progress towards a High School Diploma or GED is required.
