Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc. is hiring for a warehouse associate in Reno, NV. The role requires physically moving materials, operating pallet jacks, and following safety procedures to support daily production and shipping tasks.

You must read and write English, have a High School diploma or equivalent, and be able to use basic tools and a Warehouse Management System. This full-time position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull materials and stand for long periods.
• Read, write, and communicate in English.
• High school diploma or GED; or 2 years related manufacturing experience.
• Able to use basic hand tools and operate pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Identify parts and components.
• Move materials using pallets, trays, racks, carts, and pallet jacks.
• Read work orders or pick tickets to obtain material.
• Use WMS functions and handheld scanners for daily tasks.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to cases, cartons, or containers.
• Counts, weighs, and packages product.
• Identify quality issues and escalate accordingly.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas per 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities:

• Follows all safety and operational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Able to identify parts and components.
• Moves materials to and from areas using manual equipment such as pallets, trays, racks, carts, and pallet jacks.
• Reads work orders or pick tickets or follows oral instructions to obtain material to be picked, moved, or processed.
• Uses basic computer programs, Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions, and handheld scanners to complete daily tasks.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to cases, cartons, or containers.
• Counts, weighs, and packages product.
• Identifies quality issues and escalates accordingly.
• Able to achieve safety, quality and productivity standards .
• Maintains clean, organized work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull materials, stand for majority of the shift, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining proper PPE.
• The ability to use hand tools for extended periods of time.
• The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
