Job summary

Daikin Applied offers a 2nd shift position in Faribault, with a starting wage of $25.52/hr plus a $2.30 shift differential for 2nd shift. Work from 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with some overtime and a weekend shift 6 AM to 6 PM Fri-Sun.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED OR Minimum 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

Responsibilities

• Ship and receive stock, materials, and finished items.
• Unload incoming materials and inspect for damage.
• Record inventory movements and cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
• Move items using work orders and Kitting area procedures.
• Operate overhead crane and sheet lifter to move sheet metal.
• Lead and train new employees on machines, safety, and procedures.
• Maintain 5S cleanliness and safety practices.

Your Responsibilities

• Responsible for shipping and receiving purchased or transferred stock and material and finished items
• Unload incoming materials or purchased parts.
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages and correspond with Shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to move items into and out of storage, Kitting area and/or production areas.
• Maintain necessary information and record for inventory locations on the computer and ensure appropriate flow with the materials/goods throughout the process.
• Perform cycle counting functions to ensure proper inventory levels.
• Select containers for parts or products
• Pack and seal parts, coils or sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids.
• Load materials into/onto trucks and install strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Use overhead crane and sheet lifter to load and unload sheet metal to maintain proper inventory in Nighttrain.
• Monitor and empty scrap tanks as assigned.
• Oversee the incoming materials and kitting process to ensure that purchased part kits are complete and meet production requirements.
• Responsible for receiving and issuing of all material for area.
• Responsible for setup and documentation flow through assigned area.
• Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts
• Must exhibit attention to detail with a focus on quality work
• Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production.
• Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area.
• Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements.
• Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License.
• All other duties as assigned.
