Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc. is seeking a Maintenance/Manufacturing Associate in Faribault, MN. The role focuses on machine adjustments, TPM, tooling setup, and production support, with night shifts and overtime potential.

You will use ToolsUS software, manage inventory, set up printers and panel benders, and ensure parts meet engineering drawings. Strong attention to safety, quality, and 5S discipline is required, along with basic reading of blueprints and the ability to operate hand tools.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand written English.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED; prior manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Make adjustments to ensure proper machine function and perform minor maintenance.
• Operate night-train inventory storage and retrieval system.
• Use ToolsUS software for parameter adjustments and production scheduling.
• Set up and operate ink jet printer for part identification.
• Set up and operate panel bender per engineering specs.
• Read blueprints and ensure parts meet drawings and tolerances.
• Train new team members on machines, safety, and quality procedures.
• Maintain 5S program and follow safety guidelines.

What you will do:

Make adjustments to ensure proper machine function and performs minor maintenance such as TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) and tooling setup on machine as required. Utilize and manages Night-Train inventory storage and retrieval system. Operate ToolsUS software/programs and is able to adjust tooling according to specific parameters. Effective use of computer to manage up time sheets, run schedules and other software related tasks to organize and maintain production standards. Set up and maintain ink jet printer to ensure proper part identification. Set up and operate panel bender in accordance with outlined methods and procedures to form various parts safely and properly. Ensure parts are positioned properly to produce parts that conform with engineering drawings. Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction. Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation. Adjust on machine and programs as required; remove burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from work piece to comply with quality standards. Stack, mark, and transport finished parts to maintain proper workflow. Responsible for maintaining the 5s program for work area. Ability to use measuring equipment such as tape measure, caliper, etc. Train new members on the various machines, procedures, safe work practices and any pertinent items regarding safety, quality and production. Responsible for maintaining the 5s program to ensure a clean work area. Follow and understand HOMESafe, Personal Choice and company safety manual requirements. Identify and rework defective work pieces to comply with quality standards. Read and interpret blue prints, sketches or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products, including machine adjustments and material requirements per engineering requirements. Ability to use hand tools. Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks), obtain PIT License. All other duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate hand tools
