Kelly Services is seeking a Packer for a premier book distribution center in Gordonsville, VA. The role involves pulling and packing books, labeling cartons for scanners, and selecting appropriate box sizes to meet shipping requirements.

1st Shift: $13.50/hour (7:00am–3:30pm or longer)
2nd Shift: $14.50/hour (11:00am or earlier–7:30pm)
3rd Shift: $16.50/hour (9:00pm–5:00am or longer)
Sun-Thurs (3rd)
Mon-Fri (1st and 2nd)
May require weekend availability

Pulling and preparing products for shipment by ensuring the correct number and type of product is placed in each carton
Placing labels on cartons, properly oriented for system scanners
Selecting the appropriate size carton for shipping
Using portable scanning devices and Pick-To-Voice systems to confirm pick operations
Recording adjustments for short shipments and performing cycle counts as directed
Visually inspecting books before packing to ensure quality
Placing books securely in cartons to ensure safe transit
Maintaining quality control reports to monitor picking accuracy
Returning over-picks and mis-picks to the appropriate modules
Meeting production requirements and following all safety instructions
Walking and standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly
Are able to walk and stand for long periods of time throughout your shift
Can regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Are detail-oriented and able to follow instructions and safety methods precisely
Have warehouse, material handling, or distribution experience (preferred but not required)
Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Are willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and rotating schedules
