Lilly seeks a Packaging Principal Engineer to lead packaging materials, equipment, and operations at the Kenosha County site (LKC), a greenfield initiative building the packaging program from design input through tech transfer, PV, and ongoing commercial support.

The role drives compliance with process control strategies, monitors metrics, and fosters continuous improvement while aligning with the broader network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, science, or related field.
• Engineering experience supporting packaging operations.
• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing organization.
• Experience supporting cGMP manufacturing operations.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Self-management and organizational skills with autonomy in a start-up environment.
• Oral and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for packaging materials, equipment, and operations at the Lilly Kenosha County site.
• Lead packaging tech transfer and validation efforts from design input to PV and commercial support.
• Maintain validated state of processes and monitor metrics for control and capability.
• Drive continuous improvement and mentor TSMS engineers within the team.
• Develop and implement the technical agenda for the LKC Packaging TSMS program.
• Serve as site lead for packaging materials and serialization as the program matures.
• Collaborate with upstream suppliers, equipment vendors, and the global packaging network.
