Job summary

Husky Technologies in Milton, Vermont, is seeking an experienced Product Development Engineer (Design Specialist - Packaging Hot Runner) to lead the technical development of packaging products and oversee tooling definition for injection molding. You will collaborate with business development, engineering and manufacturing teams to drive new products from concept to launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 10+ years of design experience in tooling and injection molding.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, plastics processing and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• System level design with limited guidance and no predefined standards.
• Lead product architecture and design reviews.
• Develop tooling for packaging market and drive launches into manufacturing.
• Mentor teammates and guide design documentation and validation plans.
• Ensure design compliance and participate in FMEA and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Analysis, Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing.
