Job summary

Husky Technologies TM in Milton, Vermont is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for Product Development in Hot Runners & Controllers. You will contribute to developing new products and technologies in a dynamic, growing business.

The role requires a university degree in mechanical engineering, 5 years of experience, and knowledge of injection molded plastics processing. You will work on design concepts, analyses, testing, and development plans within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

University degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.A.Sc. and/or M.Sc.).
5 years mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering experience.
Knowledge of injection molded plastics processing required; Hot Runner design background desired.
Knowledge of specialty heater design for plastics processing desired.
Experience as a project lead preferred.

Responsibilities

Convert product definition into concept and design for hot runner, heater, and controller products.
Conduct engineering analyses (stress, thermal, fluid flow, reliability, FMEA).
Develop test models and equipment for verification and validation.
Contribute to business cases for specific projects.
Create and manage development project plans and budgets from start to finish.
Support business commercialization phases and communicate project status.
Evaluate and advance new technologies in injection molding plastics domain.
