Job summary

Opella Packaging Technician in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a detail-oriented operator to run diverse packaging lines, from tube fillers to labelers. You’ll set up, clean and maintain equipment, ensuring safety and quality on every shift.

This first shift role (6:30am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday) requires a High School Diploma or GED, experience in manufacturing, and the ability to lift 25–60 pounds. You’ll follow SOPs, cGMP, and FDA guidelines to protect product quality and people.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing, including operating high-speed packaging or assembly equipment.
• Proficient in operating various packaging machinery and tools.
• Able to lift 25–60 pounds; stand/walk for extended periods.
• Willing to train, follow dress code, and work in areas with product and machinery hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain packaging lines to ensure safety, quality and output.
• Disassemble/reassemble machinery using tools as needed.
• Prepare lines for various products; ensure correct setup of components and equipment.
• Provide packaging supplies to maintain smooth operations.
• Monitor product quality and reject non-conforming materials; document fill levels.
