Job summary

LANXESS is seeking a packaging operator at our Memphis site to perform packaging tasks per customer orders and keep machinery running safely. You will handle hazardous materials per plant rules, stock packaging supplies, and support continuous improvement efforts.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience, with willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime, including holidays and weekends. PPE is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years work experience preferred.
• Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
• Willingness to overtime, including holidays and weekends.
• Must wear PPE such as steel toes, hardhat, protective eyewear.
• Able to work in a high-hazard process environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform packaging operations per customer orders.
• Operate packaging machinery safely to prevent accidents.
• Ensure machines operate properly; conduct minor repairs.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials per plant rules.
• Stock all packaging raw materials (pallets, tape, labels, etc.).
• Maintain safety, health, environmental core values and respect for people.
• Achieve production targets, quality standards, and run equipment.
• Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
