Job summary

Haleon in New York, Oak Hill, seeks a Packaging Technician to support its packaging area and analyze root causes for improvements. This 12-hour shift role runs from 7:00am to 7:00pm, with a focus on safety, quality, and cost reductions.

You will operate high-speed packaging lines, manage materials in SAP, perform quality checks, and document batch activity while collaborating with maintenance and other departments to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer skills including data entry, email, Word and Excel.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Operate fully automated toothpaste packaging lines up to 450 tubes/min.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform autonomous maintenance on lines.
• Assist maintenance technician with preventive maintenance activities.
• Conduct inventories of packaging materials and products; perform quality checks.
• Document batch activity and use SAP to manage materials from receipt to final product.
• Identify and implement cost savings and waste reduction opportunities.
