Job summary
Vertex Pharmaceuticals is offering a 6-month Packaging Co-Op in Boston for students pursuing Packaging Sciences or Packaging Engineering. The role includes supporting development, validation of production processes, and selection of contract manufacturers to meet packaging needs.

Qualifications
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Packaging Sciences or Packaging Engineering, or another related field.
- Strong written communication skills are required.
- Experience with MS Office applications (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) preferred.
- Planning and organizational skills are essential.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing plans, designs, data collection methods, and reports.
- Create materials/tools to support process improvements, including a project intake tool.
- Conduct process mapping sessions to support project intake tool development.
- Test primary and secondary packaging components for launches; draft review reports.
- Meet virtually with Contract Manufacturers and Material Suppliers.
