Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Packaging, Chemical, Mechanical, Material Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• Typically requires 8 years of experience, or the equivalent combination of advanced education and experience.
• Experience in packaging for pharmaceutical products from research through registration and launch.
• Advanced knowledge of cGMPs and associated CMC regulatory considerations in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Ability to travel domestic and international (approximately 30%).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in one or more technical areas.
• Manage overall relationship with key suppliers of materials, technology and manufacturing resources.
• Coordinate activities and leverage best practices across multiple projects and suppliers.
• Design and manage key packaging activities including packaging design, equipment and tooling design/qualification, labeling, material selection, testing and sourcing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Project Management, Supply Chain, and Marketing to meet timelines.
• Liaise with Regulatory Affairs and Quality to provide packaging documentation for process validation and regulatory filings.
• Evaluate process performance to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the creation of department goals.
