Job summary

Brenntag is seeking a Category Manager, Packaging to design and drive sourcing strategies across North America for industrial packaging. You will lead negotiations, supplier relationships, and risk management to ensure reliable supply and competitive total cost of ownership.

The role requires strong analytical and sourcing expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and knowledge of packaging materials and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to develop and execute category strategies for industrial packaging.
• Experience negotiating supplier contracts and achieving cost savings.
• Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for packaging categories (steel drums, drums, IBCs, pallets, labels, etc.).
• Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, contracts, payment terms, and capacity commitments.
• Monitor supplier performance with KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity and regulatory compliance.
